Who is Green Island Creative?
We are proud as punch to launch our new brand Green Island Creative (formerly Ponderance Collective), inspired by our new studio location on Yuin Country, overlooking the famous surf break Green Island at Cunjurong Point.
The name speaks to our passion for helping our clients understand ethical business and lower their environmental impact. With our unique selling proposition Creative without Ego, we try to encourage, inform and inspire our clients, across all kinds of industries, to implement even the smallest of strategies to help coastline, culture and community.
The northwest side of the island is one of Australia’s most famous longboard surf breaks where the community meets at sunrise and sunset every day. The island is also home to fish, crustaceans, rays, sharks, dolphins, and a lonesome sea eagle, and a regular hang out for curious and interactive Australian fur seals. They love sneaking up on surfers and pulling on their leg ropes, before swimming away!
Importantly, Green Island is also a shell midden built from the piles of sunbleached shells of abalone, crab, pipis and other fish, left by Yuin ancestors as they gathered and passed through the Sea Country.
Here on the South Coast, we have the privilege of working with clients who are active in the conservation of our oceans and the protection of marine life. Looking out across the Tasman Sea reminds us why we’re continuously studying, learning and growing our networks in the environmentally aware pockets of our market.
For those of you who have beenwith us from the beginning in 2017, we thank you for your loyalty during the past four years as Ponderance Collective. We look forward to many new creative adventures as we paddle into 2021!
